Answers about data, maps, location, watched places and notifications in FYRAVUE.
What is a fire event?
FYRAVUE groups nearby satellite detections into one location. Counts refer to events, not individual measurements. Detection count and heat intensity (FRP) appear separately in the details.
How current is the data?
Active-fire data covers the current 24-hour FIRMS period. CAMS air and smoke layers are modelled forecast products with their own validity times. Updates may arrive with a delay.
Why do values differ from other apps?
Data source, model run, spatial resolution, pollutant selection and index scale may differ. FYRAVUE identifies source, time and modelled nature inside the app.
Location & watched places
Current location is optional. Every saved place has its own radius from 5 to 250 km. Events shown in the app are calculated from current data and are not tied to notifications already delivered.
Notifications
FYRAVUE can report confirmed new or no-longer-detected fire events and confirmed air-quality warning-level changes. iOS controls background refresh timing, so notifications are not guaranteed real-time warnings.
Widgets
Widgets can show current location or a saved place. If a place is missing, open FYRAVUE once, check the saved area and then configure the widget again.
Contact
For technical problems, please include device model, iOS version, FYRAVUE version, affected map layer and the steps leading to the issue. Do not send sensitive location data unless it is needed to investigate.
